Most hair advice was written for hair that is not ours. OpenTips exists because knowing your porosity should not require trial, error and a shelf of products that did not work.
Our story
OpenTips began as a notebook — wash days, products, what helped and what broke. It turned out that the notebook was the valuable part: enough entries and the patterns are undeniable. The app is that notebook, with the analysis done for you.
What we hold to
Your data stays yours
Your Hair DNA is built and stored on your device. Location is rounded to ten miles before it is ever used.
Honest about what we know
Where the app is guessing, it says so. Where it has three data points, it does not pretend to have thirty.
